I have also plugged the same cable into the laptop and the bars improve to the max which is to be expected, but having then used the vpn connection from the laptop the loss of connection frequency does not change. I have a Synology DS213 and have recently purchased a one month subscription with PIA to try it out and add a little privacy into my downloading life. I was able to set up an openvpn interface and get it connected, no issues there. But for some reason my connection keeps on disconnecting every 7 minutes.
